M&M Cake for a 16th Birthday
It was my sons 16th birthday and I wanted to give him a special cake. It turned out beautifully!
Here is what you will need:
Cake supplies - Either made from scratch or a box
Numbered cake pan(s). These can be found online or at your local craft store
A LOT of M&M's.
Make your cake as instructed by the recipe.
I recommend separating your M&M's by color into different bowls. It will be easier for you later.
Ice one of the numbers completely and then start adding your M&M's. Since your going to take the time to put each M&M on the cake I reccommend placing them on the cake in the ROYGBIV order. It looks beautiful when finished.
NOTE: If the M&M does not stick to your iced cake, add a little icing to the M&M before placing it on the cake.
Repeat the pro&M's cover the entire cake.
Refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours so the M&M's can set up.
Serve to the lucky birthday guy or gal.
